Achiltibuie is a crofting village on the North West coast of the Highlands of
Scotland.
Approximately an hour and a half north of Inverness, we offer a peaceful
location with outstanding views and a chance to explore the wonders of the
Highlands of Scotland. About us >>

Achiltibuie, Wester Ross, The Highlands, Scotland, IV26 2YL.
Welcome to:
Scotland/Escocia/Ecosse/Schottland/Scozia!
Highland Self-Catering Situated in the
North
West Highland Geopark, this traditional croft house shelters below the imposing
peaks of Conival and Ben Mor Coigach with outlooks across the Summer Isles of
Loch Broom to mountains of Dundonnell and Torridon beyond.
At the bottom of the garden path you'll find our glorious sandy beach - the
ideal spot for sea-kayaking. Explore the coastline or paddle across Horse Sound
to the islands and you're likely to spot seals, dolphins, whales or basking
sharks. Take your fishing rod and you'll easily catch some mackerel - perfect
for a beach BBQ and if you're feeling generous you can share with Parka the
otter, our resident furry friend.
After a day filling up on fresh air and working up and appetite you could put
our well-equipped kitchen to use - visit
Achiltibuie Stores
which provides a wide selection of good food and ingredients including
spanking-fresh local shellfish. And if you want to get stuck in straight away,
you can order a welcome pack to await your arrival.
If you want to leave the cooking to someone else, meals are available in the
Summer Isles Hotel
and Bar, or Altandhu’s Fuaran Bar - perhaps followed by a Ceilidh Dance at the
village hall to work it all off again!
You could, of course, just catch up on some reading in front of the fire in the
cosy living room or watch the sun go down and the stars come out from the patio.
The choice is yours - just bring some sensible shoes and your imagination.
